Why We Love the Forager Cocktail
Whilst the Forager isn't the easiest cocktail to make, it does make an amazing drink. It also looks incredible on your gram, so is definitely worth the investment. Refreshing notes of Elderflower, Cucumber & Watermelon pair perfectly with the sweet flavour of Crème de Cassis and balancing acidity of lime.
Ingredients within The Forager Cocktail
Elderflower Aquavit
Elderflower aquavit is a type of aquavit infused with elderflower blossoms. Aquavit is a traditional Scandinavian spirit distilled from grain or potatoes. Flavoured with various herbs and spices, including caraway and dill. It is a popular spirit in the Nordic countries, particularly in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
Crème de Cassis
Crème de cassis is a sweet, dark red liqueur made from blackcurrants. The name "crème" in this context doesn't refer to a creamy texture. But, rather indicates that the liqueur is sweet and has a syrup-like consistency. It is a great ingredient in cocktails as it has a rich, fruity flavour with a slightly tart and sweet profile.
Lime Juice
Lime Juice is adds acidity and Balance to the drink. Lime juice adds a tart and acidic element to cocktails, which helps balance out the flavours of the other ingredients. Acidity can enhance the overall taste and make the drink more refreshing. We always recommend using fresh lime as this adds a much great and more powerful flavour to the cocktail.
Double Dutch Cucumber & Watermelon
There’s nothing juicier than watermelon. This is why we combine it with cucumber’s super-smooth freshness to create our most popular mixer.
