BRAND EXECUTIVE – ACTIVATIONS, PARTNERSHIPS & PR

About the opportunity:

As Brand Executive for Events, Partnerships and PR, you will be responsible for growing our brand awareness through memorable partnerships, distinctly Double Dutch activations and securing meaningful press coverage. You’ll continuously seek out new opportunities (partnerships, events, awards, sampling) that support the Brand Plan & strengthen the Double Dutch brand. You will be naturally curious & innately entrepreneurial to continuously think outside the box to develop plans that help grow the brand.

Key responsibilities

  • Brand Partnerships: Build cross-category partnerships to support awareness. Approach & work with lifestyle brands, create partnerships that can drive strong brand awareness. Create strong partners for events, competitions and more.
  • Sampling: Manage all our sampling channels & provide recommendations of the most valuable partnerships to the business, advising which we should prioritise. 
  • Awards Strategy: Build & manage our awards strategy, ensuring we enter and win relevant & high-profile awards for our products, our business and our founders. 
  • PR: Working alongside our Head of Marketing & Communications to assist in driving coverage in trade & consumer media for our founders & our products. 
  • Event Planning & Management: Organise & manage a variety of Double Dutch events from trade to consumer including trade shows, parties, activations, tasting events and sponsorships.
  • Consumer Events: Deliver our consumer events programme, schedule to be developed alongside the Head of Marketing & Communications and activation agencies and staff. 
  • Trade Activations: Working alongside the Trade Marketing Manage to plan, deliver & evaluate trade shows and relevant on-trade activations
  • Event Asset Management: Ensure all our event assets are on brand, in full working order & available to book/use across the business. 
  • Scholarship: Plan & deliver all scholarship virtual and face to face sessions, liaising with mentors, scholars and working alongside the Trade Marketing Manager. 
  • Team Double Dutch events: Plan Double Dutch team events for summer & Christmas to bring the brand to life internally & foster a fun, vibrant culture
  • Media Partnerships: Where necessary, negotiate media partnerships to leverage editorial opportunities and / or sample stock through media events

OPERATIONS MANAGER

The Role: 

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our production and leading initiatives for process improvement and cost efficiencies. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, improving our margins, maintaining high standards of quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role is critical in improving commercial aspects and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Operations

  • Continuously strive to improve the overall cost effectiveness and efficiency of Operations as a whole
  • To set up (agreed) KPI’s for the department and staff and ensure these are achieved.
  • Manage all aspects of production operations, including manufacturing, forecasting, quality, maintenance, and logistics.

 

Stock Management

  • Ensure stock availability is always maximised, at the same time ensuring the business isn’t overstocked.
  • Ensure stock is available for new customers on time, especially when there are agreed delivery deadlines with the new customer.
  • Ensure stock write off is kept to a minimum. 
  • Ensure stock quantities always agree, making sure to reconcile stock movement on a daily manner with monthly manual stock counts at the warehouse.
  • Month end stock valuation and reconciliation to NetSuite balances.

 

Production planning

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end supply chain performance, managing material and production ordering, planning, and processes 
  • Take ownership of production forecasting and planning based on the company’s demand plans driving improvement to stock availability and stock cover KPIs.

 

Supply Chain Partner-management

  • Overall management of all our Supply Chain Partners
  • Ensure raw materials are always available to fulfil our supply chain requirements.
  • Ensure finished stock is available for customers as needed.
  • Ensuring effective and sustainable working relationships with suppliers
  • Working closely with the sales team to flag potential low stock items or low shelf-life products.

 

Procurement

  • Take on the overall role of procurement for the business and set in place the infrastructure to minimise lead times to reduce Minimum Order Quantities and maintain appropriate stock levels of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve all elements of our supply chain from a cost, time efficiency and sustainability perspective. This will involve researching the market and having initial discussions with potential supply chain partners before bringing a director into negotiations. 

This needs to be performed annually at the very least.

 

Logistics and Warehousing (L&W)

  • Ensure we get the best service at the best price for L&W
  • Ensure best practices applied with our L&W partners to optimise their service, minimise our costs.

 

Experience needed and what we are looking for

  • At least 6 years experience within operations preferably in the FMCG or beverage sector.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and supply chain management.
  • Experience in managing and developing team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using MS office and ERP systems and other operational software-  Netsuite MRP experience is ideal but not essential.

DEMAND & PRODUCTION PLANNER

The Role: 

 You will manage all day-to-day activities around planning and processing of our supply chain - You will ensure that production is properly planned, coordinating raw materials and key suppliers to match company and customer forecasts. This role involves placing orders, ensuring alignment with supplier schedules, and accurately entering data into NetSuite to support seamless supply chain operations. You will be responsible for maintaining efficient production schedules, optimising inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of products to meet demand.

Production Planning 

  • Work closely with Operations Manager (OM) and wider Sales & Marketing team ensuring all their forecasts, as well as current stock levels, are planned into production
  • Plan all production, factoring in minimum order quantities, Supply Chain partners production runs/storage limitation etc. This will be using the MRP module in NetSuite
  • Propose production runs for approval by OM
  • Working closely with OM, place orders for all raw materials/production, and enter all in NetSuite
  • Provide regular stock reports highlighting high/low stock positions, and potential challenges to OM initially, then greater team.
  • Constantly look to drive improvement to stock availability and optimise stock cover KPIs 
  • Work closely with OM, ensure that stock obsolescence is kept to a minimum.

 

Production planning - New products (NPD)/customer requirements

  • Provide accurate production timeline forecasts for key stakeholders highlighting potential challenges, and coming up with solutions
  • Lead discussions with Supply Chain partners for all elements of NPD/new customer orders, again highlighting challenges and coming up with solutions.

 

Supply Chain Partners 

  • Build close relationships will all Supply Chain Partners suppliers ensuring our production planning aligns with their production plans. 
  • Ensure Supply Chain Partners provide reliable delivery of raw materials and excellent service (fillers) 
  • Efficient management of Supply Chain Partners to ensure appropriate levels of raw materials are stored in suitable locations
  • Ensuring effective and sustainable working relationships with suppliers
  • Provide cover to other areas within the department and support Operations Manager where required such as with procurement

 

 

Experience needed

  • At Least 3 years appropriate experience within operations preferably in the FMCG or beverage sector.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and supply chain management.
  • Netsuite MRP experience is welcome but not essential
  • MS Office

 

Qualifications needed.

Formal qualifications welcome, but not essential, qualification by experience is acceptable.
