Paired with London Dry Gin and topped with Double Dutch Cranberry & Ginger mixer, the result is a cocktail that’s both bold and balanced — sharp, spiced, and completely winter-ready. Ingredients for Our Winter Ice Cube Recipe

Ginger Slices

Fresh ginger adds a clean, spicy undertone. As it melts, it brings warmth and aromatic sharpness that complements winter gin profiles.

Orange Slice

The citrus oils from the peel and juice add freshness and brightness — balancing the spice with a natural sweetness that unfolds slowly in the glass.

Cinnamon Stick

Earthy, sweet, and unmistakably seasonal, cinnamon infuses the drink gently over time. It adds depth and a holiday feel to every sip.

Expert Tips

For ultra-clear cubes, boil the water first, let it cool, and then freeze. This prevents cloudiness and lets the garnish shine through the ice. To add even more aroma, lightly torch the cinnamon stick before placing it in the cube for a smoked, caramelised note.

ingredients

  • Orange slices
  • Cinnamon sticks (cut to size)
  • Filtered water (for freezing)
  • London Dry Gin (to serve)
  • Double Dutch Cranberry & Ginger (to top)

accessories

  • Large ice cube tray or moulds
  • Freezer
  • Sharp knife (for cutting garnish)

Method

  1. Add a small orange wedge, and a piece of cinnamon stick to each section of your ice cube tray
  2. Top with filtered water and freeze until solid (ideally overnight)
  3. To serve: add one or two cubes to a glass with 50ml London Dry Gin
  4. Top with chilled Double Dutch Cranberry & Ginger mixer
  5. Stir gently and serve immediately
