What is the Lillet Spritz?
The Lillet Spritz is a vibrant, low-ABV cocktail made with Lillet Blanc — a French aperitif crafted from wine, citrus liqueurs, and botanicals. Traditionally served over ice with tonic or soda, we’ve given it a refreshing spin using Double Dutch Cucumber & Watermelon mixer. The result? A balanced and botanical-forward drink that’s herbaceous, fruity, and lightly sparkling. It’s as versatile as it is beautiful.
Ingredients in Our Lillet Spritz Recipe
- Lillet Blanc – A premium French aperitif with a base of Bordeaux wines and a hint of honeyed citrus and floral notes. It’s light, slightly sweet, and incredibly smooth.
- Double Dutch Cucumber & Watermelon – This sophisticated mixer adds brightness and dimension. The cucumber is crisp and cooling, while watermelon brings subtle, fruity sweetness that complements the Lillet perfectly.
- Garnish: A slice of cucumber, fresh strawberry, and mint not only enhance the aroma and flavour but also add a colourful, summery presentation.
Why a Wine Glass?
A large wine glass is ideal for this spritz. It allows the botanicals and garnishes to breathe, keeps the drink cool with plenty of ice, and showcases the cocktail’s vibrant, layered aesthetic. It’s not just about function — it’s about elevating the experience from casual to elegant.
