Brandy is one of the most christmasy drinks out there, every year millions of people use Brandy for their Christmas pudding, so why not use the left overs for a lovely Brandy Cocktail. The Brandy Joy is our festive, cocktail, with all the staples of Christmas, cranberry, ginger and brandy.
What You’ll Need For This Festive Brandy Joy
You’ll need a few things to make this brandy cocktail:
50ml of Brandy
Brandy often has a sweet taste, sometimes compared to flowers, fresh and dried fruit and citrus zest. However, this can all vary depending the making process and the age of the brandy. Our brandy recommendation is the ***insert brandy****.
Slice of Ginger
Using a fresh slice of Ginger can bring a new level of fresh, spicy and sweetness to a cocktail. Well worth adding to your Brandy Joy.
Double Dutch Cranberry and Ginger Tonic
Our very own Cranberry and Ginger tonic is the perfect addition to our brandy cocktail. It brings with it a perfect balance of sharp and spice that enlivens the brandy and many other drinks as well.
A long spoon is a must have for any budding cocktail maker.
A highball glass is as its name suggests, high, its a tall thinner glass that contains around 240 - 350 ml. It taller than the shorter, lowball glass, which is often called an old fashion glass.
A spirits jigger is used for measuring accurate amounts of alcohol for cocktails, wines and pretty much heavy alcohol. This is another must have and is used within almost every cocktail to ensure the correct amounts of liquid are being used.
- 1 slice of ginger
- Double Dutch Cranberry & Ginger Tonic
- 1 handful Ice
- Long spoon
- highball glass
- Spirits jigger
- Fill the glass with ice.
- Pour over your Brandy of choice
- Top with Double Dutch Cranberry & Ginger
- Stir carefully until evenly mixed.
- Garnish with a Ginger slice.
