How To Make Halloween Punch Cocktails

Halloween has to be the most cocktail focused event of the year! Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is this year’s spooktacular theme for Halloween, but we’ve also got a few retro films for you to focus on.  We’re really into the shoulder pads, big hair and OTT energy of the Witches of Eastwick, Death Becomes Her and Hocus Pocus.

Amas Veritas Punch – The Ultimate Love Potion

Inspired by Practical Magic, this punch recipe is a love potion guaranteed to enchant your guests. Plus, it’s great for preparing ahead of time!

What you'll need:

• 200ml Cointreau
• 700ml gin (vodka or golden rum works too)
• 250ml cranberry or pomegranate juice
• 250ml cherry juice
• 2 x Double Dutch Pomegranate & Basil (200ml bottles)
• 2 x Double Dutch Cranberry & Ginger Tonic (200ml bottles)
• 2 x Double Dutch Ginger Beer (200ml bottles)

Instructions:

• Two days before your party, freeze a large ice block using an old 2-litre ice cream tub filled with cranberries and citrus slices.
• When it's party time, place the ice block in your punch bowl.
• Pour in the spirits and juices, then add the Double Dutch mixers.
• Give it a gentle stir and serve in rocks glasses over ice. Garnish with rosemary and lavender sprigs threaded through a citrus wheel for that extra mystical touch.

Midnight Margarita – A Magical Frozen Treat

For those who like their Halloween punch with a citrusy twist, this frozen margarita will hit the spot. Inspired by The Craft, it’s got a goth geek vibe that will please the palate

What you'll need (serves 4):

• 4 cups of coconut water ice cubes
• 200ml tequila (try 818 Blanco)
• 100ml lime juice
• 100ml Cointreau
• 20ml coconut cream
• 200ml Double Dutch Double Lemon (50ml per glass)

Instructions:

• Make coconut water ice cubes 24 hours ahead.
• Blend the ice cubes with the tequila, lime juice, Cointreau, and coconut cream.
• Serve in chilled glasses and top with Double Lemon. Zest lime over the top for a fresh kick.

Devil’s Wish – A Fiery Cocktail for Daredevils

For those who love a touch of heat, this punch recipe will bring the flames. A little bit spicy, a little bit sweet—this one’s for channelling Jack Nicholson as your inner Daryl van Horne!

What you'll need (serves 6):

• 150ml gin
• 150ml Campari
• 120ml clear apple juice
• 200ml Double Dutch Pomegranate & Basil

Instructions:

• Stir all the ingredients together in a large glass or pitcher.
• Garnish with two small red chillies as horns and a dash of black pepper to top it off.
