DOUBLE DUTCH COCKTAIL COMPETITION OF 2019!

Double Dutch invites all Bar Tenders across the UK to take part in our cocktail competition of 2019! The winner will receive a trip for two to Amsterdam including a 4* central hotel and travel.

The qualifying round will take place in one of your local bars and will be between 5th August – 7th September 2019. It will be judged by the co-founders of Double Dutch, Joyce and Raissa de Haas.

The final will be held in London on September 25th and will be judged by Joyce and Raissa as well as a mystery celebrity judge. Read on for more information about entry requirements and how to enter.

The focus of the first round will be:

AROUND THE WORLD WITH DOUBLE DUTCH

‘The Dutch have always travelled well, and Double Dutch is no exception. We have travelled from Holland (the home of superlative spirits) to share our innovative approach to flavour pairing. Show us how you would use Double Dutch in your travels around the world and create a cocktail for your favourite country – whether it’s a cocktail for carnival, an iced pour for Iceland or a Spanish sensation, show us how adding a little Dutch transforms your drinks journey’

Minimum Double Dutch in the drink: 100ml

THE EVOLUTION OF TONICS

‘Tonic water used to be medicinal, now it is a main ingredient in the most refreshing drinks. Double Dutch are passionate believers in the importance of flavour – show us how you think the flavour of tonic will continue to evolve with your best cocktail of the future.’

Minimum Double Dutch in the drink: 100ml

ADDITIONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

• Must work in the UK 0n-trade scene
• All entrants are required to follow Double Dutch across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
• All entrants need to re-share Double Dutch posts about the competition.
• After the heats, all entrants are required to post about their Double Dutch cocktail and tag Double Dutch through their personal account. (If you do not have a personal account then please contact us so we can make alternative arrangements)

JUDGING CRITERIA:

• Taste: A cocktail should be pleasing, balanced and simply amazing! Is this palatable, refreshing or truly delicious? Is it too sweet or too sour? Can we still taste the Double Dutch in your drink?
• Presentation: Consider the glass, appearance of the cocktail & garnish,
• Product Knowledge: How much do you know about Double Dutch?
