A complex blend of spice and summer, this Double Dutch drink holds its own with any dark rum as well as vodka and offers a glorious lemony aftertaste.

Ginger
The warm, pungent and spicy aroma of ginger lends itself perfectly to mixing in drinks like Whiskey and dark spirits. We love using ginger for this spicy kick it adds within our ginger beer, but did you know that ginger originates from Maritime Southeast Asia. Ginger is actually a cultigen, which means its only known within cultivation and is not found naturally in the wild. References of ginger date back to circa 500BC, but first made its way to Europe around the 1st Century.
Lime
We use lime within our ginger beer to bring a citrus freshness to the drink. Adding lime with the ginger brings a fresh spice that works perfectly with dark rum as well as vodka and offers a glorious citrus aftertaste. Lime was first introduced to the western mediterranean around the 12th and 13th centuries. However, Lime originates in Northern India and once it made its way to Europe it then travelled further to the America's, including the West Indies in the 15th Century.
